Building Liveable and Sustainable Cities: A Framework for the Future

This e-publication presents the first refresh of the Liveability Framework since it was introduced in 2014. Taking into account today’s challenges for cities, this e-publication proposes an updated understanding of liveability outcomes for cities, as well as the supporting planning, governance and collaborative systems that enable them, while incorporating views from both within and outside government. This new book also spotlights the tensions and synergies that arise from delivering liveability and sustainability for cities. Finally, it showcases case studies from around the world that illustrate the global applicability of the framework.
