World Cities Summit Mayors Forum 2023

The World Cities Summit Mayors Forum will be hosted by Seoul, the Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize 2018 Laureate, from 24 – 26 September this year.

The annual Mayors Forum is a global platform for mayors and city leaders to discuss pressing urban challenges and share the best practices. The theme for this year is Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Forging an Inclusive and Resilient Future.

Integrated Data Systems for Urban Planning and Management – Ho Chi Minh City

In 2018, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) became one of 26 pilot cities to join the ASEAN Smart Cities Network (ASCN). Since then, its smart city ambitions have grown from strength to strength through its smart city projects and roadmap, for which the city is preparing to enter the second phase in 2021–25.1 Even before this, HCMC’s efforts over the years in the direction of data openness and interoperability helped it build a strong foundation for further smart city development.
