CLC and World Scientific Publishing are pleased to announce the launch of the inaugural issue of the International Journal on Smart and Sustainable Cities (IJSSC).
This free-access journal aims to enhance urban sustainability and liveability by connecting cutting-edge urban science research with evidence-based practitioner experiences and rich policy insights.
Urban Science Workshop Series 2023
CLC, Urban Redevelopment Authority, and the Future Cities Laboratory Global will be organising the inaugural Urban Science Workshop Series 2023 from 26 September to 6 October 2023.
Co-curated with Singapore government agencies, institutes of higher learning, and research institutes, the workshops focus on the application of scientific tools, including sensing and modelling the urban environment, as well as visualisation for cities. The series will also feature keynote speakers at the Science of Cities Symposium and international thought leaders in Urban Science.

Science of Cities Symposium 2023
The Science of Cities Symposium is back on its second run on 5 October 2023, Thursday. This year, it will be held as part of the Urban Sustainability Solutions R&D Congress 2023 (4–5 October 2023).
This year’s Symposium will feature the science behind Future scenario planning, Decarbonising cities, and in building a Regenerative future. This is a continued commitment to spotlight the importance of robust sciences in addressing pressing city challenges.
In addition to presentations and panel discussions, participants may look forward to a research exhibition, and networking reception.
ASEAN Smart Cities Network’s (ASCN) Role in Facilitating Progressive Urban Development in the Region
As ASCN Chair (2022-2023) supported by Singapore as the ASCN Shepherd, Indonesia led ASCN in stepping up efforts to promoting smart, sustainable cities.

Our host city, Seoul, is conducting two site visits for delegates to experience this beautiful Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize Laureate for themselves. The first centres around the theme “Resilience and Smart City Seoul”.
